I show a particular video of the work at auction by Poleschi casa d'asta .

 

The printed catalog contains two pictures (in regular and black light), while the on-line catalog contains only regular (daylight) image.

Instead, in this video, I show the work lit by a black light and with a regular table lamps dimmered to show the effect of gradual changes.

Sul catalogo cartaceo l'opera è mostra con due foto che ne permettono la visione sotto luce solare e sotto luce nera, mentre sul catalogo on-line l'opera è purtroppo mostrata solo con l'immagine solare.

 

In questo video mostro invece l'opera illuminata da luce nera e con una luce solare dimmerata che mostra le variazioni di effetto graduali.

Alfonso Alfo Villa

Ieri visita all'esposizione di Alfo (Alfonso Villa) in piazza Diaz, 7 a Milano.

Insieme ad Alfo

Alfo è un artista che ha iniziato la sperimentazione sotto luce nera nei anni '80 e può quindi venire considerato tra i precursori dell'uso delle tecniche fluo.

In questa esposizione Villa mostre le opere del ciclo relativo a donne che esprimono la vita notturna, La derivazione estetica dalla pop art è evidente, ma la variabile pigmento fluo introduce un forte elemento di novità.

La sua ricerca, da un punto di vista tecnico si è indirizzata verso l'annullamento del difetto metamerico, ovvero nella ricerca della costanza della forma colorata delle opere notturne e diurne.

Works "sisters"

Mario Agrifoglio realized often works "sisters" with motion games between the variant sunlight - black light complementary.

Mario Agrifoglio realizzava spesso opere "sorelle" con giochi di movimento tra la variante luce solare - luce nera complementari.
Un ottimo esempio è dato dal gemello di un'opera che ho già mostrato.

Works at auction

Is near the season of auctions and then I present the works that will go on auction in the next period.

The first work entitled "leaves" 1990, Mixed media on canvas, 60x60 cm, this will be proposed by the Capitolium in the next auction in late October / early November.
Its distinctive game of levels is rare in the works of Mario Agrifoglio who normally preferred to play with WConvergenze or WDivergenze. The WConvergenze are less pronounced compared to other works but still present: it can be observed a range of blue WConvergenze starting from various shades of gray, blue and white.

The second work will go on auction from Poleschi in November.
 I do not remember the title but it is a work of 1982, also mixed media on canvas, 60 x 60 cm, whose aesthetic is very sophisticated.
 The photo under black light does not make the reality of the work, in some cases, the luminescent colors do not impress film properly; for example the yellow circle under black light is really orange, a color a lot closer to day work than shows the photo.

The third work in this auction will be offered again from Capitolium with 'foglie'
The title is 'variazioni', mixed media on canvas, 60x60 cm, is a work that is part of a series of similar works played in the daytime version mainly on 'variazioni' of orange, with Wconvergenze version in black light towards the violet and blue. Aesthetically it resembles the first play from Capitolium auction in July.
