Facebook post (VI)

This is the text of the Sixth post on facebook groups:
"In this sixth and final post I'll show you a couple of works that represent well the expressive possibilities of the research of Mario Agrifoglio and its techniques.

The first work is 'Grease' and was painted in 1979 on commission. It was presented in the primetime for Italian version of film, the second 'Hammer and Sickle' was painted in the same period, the intention was not political but probably for 'spiritual balance'.
The symbol for the United States in those years was the world of the show business(a couple of years later an actor became president), for USSR the symbol was the symbolic dogmatism. I think both works are 80x80 cm size.
In these works presented here are showed the power of changes on light variation; To take yet the example of music: from the early works where they show the agreements, we pass by the melodies and you get to the final state with works symbolic and expressive. Each transformation is now possible.
In years closer to us other artists have used the same technics of Agrifoglio, in the movement called from us Black Light Art.
